At the International Artists' Symposium in Saarbrücken

the audience always has front row seats

Situated within the popular fair SAARMESSE, close to the border to France, sits the Symposium. Every year a wide variety of artists from all over the globe is invited to take part in a project together - the idea is to show what the artist does and how a work of art is created by opening its doors to the public and showing the creative process. The audience can interact with the artist, ask questions or even sometimes participate. It is practically one big exhibition together, showing the different styles and techniques the artists use, as well as their individual characters. This way the Symposium supplies a great time for the artists to be together, along with their friends, as well as a meeting point for art lovers.

The event is under the patronage of Minister President of the Saarland, Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer. The founder and manager is the painter GLIAUGIR. Together with the representatives of the SAARMESSE Fair Management and Carmen Schäfer (Media/Organisation), he invites everyone to the 14th international art symposium from 11th until 19th of April 2016.

Keeping the tradition of German-French encounters is a very important part of the symposium at the fair in Saarbrücken. The artists' countries of origin change every year, but Germany and France are represented every year. This years' symposium focuses on the partner cities Nantes/France and Tiblissi/Georgia. A representative of every partner city will be there this year, so we say:

Welcome…
